Welcome to the Covid Diaries
A new series on the Salterton Arts Review blog, in which I manoeuver around Covid measures to see what arts and culture I can in 2020.
We’ve all had a bit more time on our hands recently. And some time to reflect on what we value. Turns out that a big part of what I value living in London is my access to culture, and it makes me pretty unhappy when that goes away.
So I’ve decided to relaunch this blog, starting with my experiences of London’s cultural institutions reopening after the Covid 19 lockdown. First up: the Wallace Collection. But also coming soon, the National Gallery, Royal Academy, and even the Donmar Warehouse. I’m excited to share with you a few thoughts on what I see in these venerable cultural instutions, but also some reflections here and there on how each of them has responded to the vague and ever-changing requirements involved in reopening their doors while keeping the public safe.
